Laser-etched controls let you dial in beginning- and ending-stroke rebound as well as low-speed compression to make this shock fly through rock gardens just as smoothly as it absorbs a sudden drop in altitude—but when those drops happen, the adjustable DropStop bottom-out system will be there to cushion the landing.

• DropStop: Bottom out adjustment at its finest. Our DropStop technologies control harsh bottoming out by ramping up the spring rate as the suspension nears full compression using either elastomer bumpers or air volume adjustment. Say goodbye to that harsh feel and awful “KER-thunk” sound on even the hardest of landings.
• Dual Flow Adjust: Dual Flow Adjust has the effectiveness of Dual Flow’s independent damping circuits with the added control of externally adjustable beginning- and ending-stroke rebound. Tuning suspension to actively respond to successive small bumps as perfectly as it absorbs big drops has never been easier.
• Fixed Coil: The coil spring is a simple, time-tested design with a smooth feel characterized by a linear spring curve.
• Hot Rod: Your suspension should never fade before you do—that’s why we developed Hot Rod to build fade-free performance into the new Vivid Air. A RockShox-tuned thermoplastic resin core in the adjuster rod expands when your shock heats up, resulting in consistent rebound force no matter how long or aggressive the descent.
